Color Option #1

Traditional Saltillo Tile

Terracotta tile colors

Also known as Terra Cotta, Traditional Saltillo is our least expensive color palette. Traditional Saltillo tiles come in a wide range of terracotta colors. Shades range from red and orange to yellow and gold. This finish integrates beautifully with many styles and colors used in home decorating. It is impossible to show the full range of color in just the four tile samples above.

Traditional Saltillo works well in commercial and residential spaces. With proper installation, it can be used indoors and as outdoor patio tile. The style is ideal in spaces with design themes such as southwestern, western, hacienda, beach, and rustic.

Invite an element of sophistication and luxury to your dining room with Traditional Saltillo tile in our Riviera pattern. Or, go bold – blend vibrant colors of Cement tiles or colorful Glazed tiles in a kitchen backsplash with large, square Saltillo tiles.

Color Option #2

Manganese Saltillo Tile

Neutral, Brown, & Terracotta colors

Manganese Saltillo floor tiles come in many shades of terracotta. The manganese color ranges from light to dark brown tiles with undertones of terracotta shades. Additionally, Manganese Mexican tiles can display black swirling that mixes with the Terra Cotta colors, occasionally creating a marbled look. The four tiles pictured here are just a sampling of our brown Saltillo flooring.

This finish is excellent for both rustic and modern spaces. Pair with light cabinets or walls for a light/dark contrast often seen in contemporary spaces. Select hexagon Saltillo tiles in Manganese finish for a natural contrast of light and dark shades. This will bring a modern/vintage look to your new kitchen.

Our Manganese Saltillo finish works well in both commercial and residential spaces. With proper sub-floor preparation and maintenance, this tile is great for indoor and outdoor applications.

Color Option #3

Antique Saltillo Tile

Terracotta tile colors with textured surface

Antique Saltillo flooring has the appearance of an old-world tile. These nonslip tile floors are textured and have earthen colors. Antique style floors reveal the rust and copper-toned color palette. The four tiles in the photo are just a sampling of our Antique colored tiles. In fact, we manufacture these to look like reclaimed Italian terracotta tile. They are designed in the style of historic Mexican pavers.

This finish works very well in rustic, old-world-style homes. It’s also similar to reclaimed French terracotta – at a fraction of the cost. Some homeowners install Antique Saltillo flooring with dark grout. They may purposefully leave grout behind on the textured surface to create an even older look.

Each tile is hand-textured, making it ideal as a nonslip tile for areas like patios and around pool decks. This finish also works well in commercial and residential spaces. It is great for indoor and outdoor spaces, with proper installation. Add some rustic charm to any space in your home with beautiful Antique floor tiles.

Color Option #4

Spanish Mission Red

Spanish Mission Red tile is very popular in our collection of Saltillo colors.  The Mission Red tiles are similar to Traditional Saltillo, but this palette has minimal light or yellow shades of color due to the effect of our Mission Red dye added to the penetrating sealer.

The photo shown here does not show the full range of color.  There is some variation within a single tile and between individual tiles. No two tiles are identical.

Color Option #5

Antique Mission Red

We also offer our Antique Saltillo tiles in Spanish Mission Red (Antique Mission Red), which results in a beautifully rustic brick-like tile.

Overall, the Spanish Mission Red tile color is ideal for spaces calling for true Spanish-style décor and more consistency in shading compared to our other color choices.

Color Variation

It's what makes Saltillo tile so beautiful.

During kiln firing, the placement of each tile affects how much heat it receives, resulting in shades that range from light to dark. Smaller tiles tend to fire darker than larger ones, and some tiles develop subtle striping from how they’re stacked in the kiln. Sealed Saltillo tiles appear richer and deeper in color, while unsealed tiles have lighter, pastel tones.
